A default can be set in a domain for the behavior of the "Submit Answer" button in the current page following answer submission of a student's reponse to a problem in LON-CAPA.

A Domain Coordinator can also choose to override the domain default on a course-by-course basis by choosing Yes or No for ``Disable submit button/keypress following student submission'' in the ``View/Modify submit button behavior, post-submission menu item for a selected course accessed via: Main Menu $>$ View or modify a course or community.

If the submit button is disabled post-submission, how long that state will persist (in seconds) can also be set.  Note: the page will reload regardless, once LON-CAPA has processed the student's submission server-side, and at that point the submit button will automatically be re-enabled, assuming there are tries remaining.
